Miley Cyrus appeared at the Oscars looking very simple and sophisticated — a welcome change from how we’ve seen her lately. Her fresh and shimmery makeup was the perfect balance to her striking red gown.

Dior makeup artist Pati Dubroff was inspired by “Miley’s radiant youth” and wanted to create a look that was “all about glowing, gorgeous skin with flushed cheeks and a popsicle-stained mouth.”

• Face: At 15, Miley didn’t need much more than a little concealer and some Benefit BeneTint cheek stain for that natural flush.
• Eyes: Pati wanted the glamour of the look to be in Miley’s eyes, so she loaded her lashes with multiple coats of Dior Diorshow Mascara in Black, and finished off with a coat of Blue to complement Miley’s eyes. For shadow, just a sweep of Dior 1-Couleur Powder Eyeshadow in Icy White.
• Lips: For that popsicle-stained look, Pati used Dior Addict High Shine Lipstick in Flamenco Red.
• Finishing Touch: To top off the look, Pati dusted Miley’s face with Make Up Forever Glitter for that “Disney princess come to life” feel.
