New from Diesel is a perfume spray called Fuel For Life. This sexy scent is intended for the energetic and extroverted woman who isn’t afraid of a little aphrodisiac. Perfumers Annick Ménardo, Thierry Wasser and Jacques Cavallier created a floral and spicy blend of black currant, raspberry, patchouli, mandarin, pink pepper, musk and jasmine. The bottle, as you can see, is hugged by a knit wrap that reminds me of all of the textured tights we’ll be wearing this fall!

I’ve tried this scent and, I’ve got to be honest with you, at first it was way too strong for me. But after about five minutes, it dried down to a complex, intriguing scent. It’s a little down-and-dirty—the sort of scent you’d wear to a rock show, not to an afternoon tea party—and it has a vaguely androgynous feel to it. Although there’s a men’s version of Fuel For Life, I could see the women’s scent working for both men and women.

The collection includes a 2.6 oz Eau de Parfum ($64.50), a 1.7 oz Eau de Parfum ($49.50), a 6.7 oz body lotion ($35) and a 6.7 oz shower gel ($32.50).
But if you fall in love with this fragrance and just can’t imagine leaving home without it, have no fear! In October, expect to see two pocket chains that clip onto your belt or jeans and hold 15 ml of perfume. Perfect for a brand that’s best known for denim, right?
